History
KitchenAid traces its history to the earliest years of the 20th century, and the Ohio-based engineer Herbert Johnston, who first developed the classic Stand Mixer. He had been inspired to develop the concept after having seen a baker mixing dough with a heavy iron spoon and thinking there must be a better way to approach the task.
With the development of this simple, mechanised but highly effective appliance, a legacy of reliable and practical solutions for the kitchen was born. Evolving through the decades with new models and a beautiful colour palette, KitchenAid’s commitment to innovation remains the same.
