Disappointed by customer service after it broke
After two years of use the Kitchenaid broke all of a sudden, there was no more drive, as if a belt had snapped. Then the nightmare began - trying to wake up appliances online customer service. It took WEEKS for someone to finally tell me what needs to be done, after following up at least 6 times. I had to package the broken kitchenaid to ship to the nearest repair partner down the Sunshine Coast. This is where it is at now. Since more than two weeks. I haven't heard anything from Kitchenaid themselves (who provide an even more pathetic customer service), nor from the repair partner and have absolutely no idea what's going on. I have followed up with Kitchenaid customer service, which seems to be manned once a fortnight, three times already. They didn't even bother to respond to an email. This was the last time I purchased a Kitchenaid product and from appliances online. I should, in fact, get the ACCC involved. I bought from appliances online. That is who is responsible to take care of repair, replacement, whatever. Making the customer do all the running around is pathetic.

Worth the cost
I've used my Grandmothers 1980's Kenwood Chef for the last 15 years - it was fabulous but was finally put to rest.
I've used Kitchen Aid mixers before work so knew that they were good quality. This particular machine is great;love the dual bowls, the larger size, the improved splash guard (not brittle easy to break plastic like previous models) . The Cast Iron black is stylish and won't date and looks very sleek in my kitchen. Worth the investment.
