History
Founded in 1947 by Kenneth Wood, Kenwood's first appliance was a clever redesign of the conventional toaster that established the brand's forward thinking philosophy. Just 3 years later, the company emerged as an international success story with the launch of the Kenwood Chef - a "life-changing, labour-saving" innovation. In 1956 the company announced a 1.5 million pound turnover and moved to a new headquarters in Havant, UK where it would later develop the first electronic speed controlled mixer. Nowadays, Kenwood is a household name renowned for revolutionising small kitchen appliances.
