So I was a little apprehensive to buy this dryer as there weren’t many reviews and I personally had never heard of the brand before. My arm was twisted a fair way though when I saw they were offering an instant $300 off - I thought to myself well that’s a little too good to pass up - how bad could it be, right? Artusi were also offering an extended 3 year warranty bringing it to a total of 5 years…it was slightly discounted from it’s $1199 retail already so for $693 delivered it was a no brainer for me. Now let me be clear, this was a reluctant purchase. We weren’t actually even looking to purchase a dryer at all. We had gotten rid of our previous vented dryer as we never really used it, it would fog up the laundry (yes, even with the window AND door open) and clothes had to almost be burnt to be dry. Enter Artusi - this unit does what it says it will do. Your clothes are dry, a nice and fluffy dry. It doesn’t make you feel insecure by shrinking your jeans two sizes and have you thinking maybe I shouldn’t have had that pack of scotch fingers for breakfast…It’s so easy to use - put your clothes in, make sure the catchment tray is empty (if not plumbed to a drain), turn the knob, press start - simple. The drum is large and can hold a full load of washing with ease. It’s a solid build and fairly quiet which was surprising. If it’s too loud for you you can close the door (because you can) being a heat pump. So if you haven’t realised it I am pretty impressed with this unit. If you’re on the fence just buy it like I did and give it a go. This is coming from someone who has Bosch/Samsung/Sirius as staples in the home. I think you will be pleasantly impressed :)

I've had and been using this machine for 4 weeks now and it's main benefit is it's significantly reduced running costs. From an energy app, I've noted it only uses 1/5th the electricity (ca 400 W/hr) compared to our old 1990's 1 1/2 star dryer (2,000 W/hr), which is it's best selling point. For mixed clothes, bedding and towels I just use the 'Cotton extra dry ' program, which seems to be the hottest and longest running, which always times it at 3 hrs (179 mins). However it measures the moisture level, with the time continually changing and normally stops after about 1 1/2 hrs. Unfortunately, some items are still slightly damp to touch, so I just leave them scattered on the bed for a half hour or so before putting them away. As reported, emptying the water takes under 30 seconds to slide the top drawer out and to pour it into the trough/sink and replace it; while cleaning the filter is similar to before. Probably give it 4 1/2 stars/5 - due to the slight dampness, but we'll worth the change due to the power savings.

I bought this heat pump dry to replace our old vented dryer, mainly for the lack of moisture in the laundry and also the energy efficiency. I have been really happy with it. Clothes sometimes feel a bit damp when finished, this often goes away when the clothes cool down. I find that an extra 20 minute dry at the end works very well to get rid of any remaining moisture.
